Tree Appreciation Day Planting Event
Saanich Parks hands out tools and gloves and plants trees in Cuthbert Holmes Park on the morning of November 7. Two hours, free, all ages, and you need to register first. Park at Tillicum mall or Pearkes.
Saturday, November 7, 10 a.m. to noon in Cuthbert Holmes Park. Saanich Parks brings the tools and gloves, you bring boots and a willingness to get muddy, and by lunchtime there are more trees in the park than there were at breakfast.
Registration is required through the form on the Saanich event page. Parking is at Tillicum mall or at the G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre, which is the easier of the two if you are coming from the Pat Bay side.
